Platelets are sub-cellular units that normally exist in our blood stream. During their short life cycle of 5-6 days, they are available to assist in forming blood clots and allow healing at sites of injury. They carry within them ‘granules’ that are collections of small protein ‘messengers’ or 'Platelet Growth Factors'. These messengers have been shown in prior research studies to turn on repair cycles in certain tissues.

By taking a small volume of your blood and then extracting the platelets, we are able to create a high concentration of these valuable substances which can then be re-injected into areas where they are needed.

There are various parts of the body that can be treated with platelet rich plasma therapy. PRP treatment that gains popularity in areas of medicine such as: aesthetic medicine, trichology, stomatology, orthopedics, urology, gynecology and sports medicine;

The platelets contain numerous growth factors that are used to regenerate the cells, giving the PRP treatment its regenerative potential. PRP can be applied alone in microinjection technology or in combination with mesotherapy (natural active ingredients, homeopathic remedies, minerals, vitamins and classic medicines).

In orthopedics and traumatology, the Plasmabiotech method involves injecting platelet-rich plasma into the coxofemoral, knee, radiocarp, elbow, shoulder and tibiotasial joint. The standard needle for intramuscular injections is usually used. For the coxofemoral joint, especially if the patient has excessive weight, needles of 8 – 10 cm must be used. After completion of the procedure, an aseptic bandage is applied.

In trichology, the Plasmabiotech method can be used to locally stimulate hair growth, to prevent hair thinning, loss and rupture. Autologous plasma injections prevent the atrophy of hair follicles and “transfer” them from the telogen phase to the anagen phase. Autologous plasma treatment improves cell microcirculation and metabolism, stimulates local immunity of the scalp, inhibits pathogenic flora, intensely nourishes capillary bulbs. After the treatment, the hair regains its shine, becomes thicker and stronger.

Due to its biological properties, Plasmabiotech can be considered a basic procedure in the treatment of hair disorders. In Tricology, the Plasmabiotech method is successfully used in combination with mesotherapy. The most successful combination is platelet-rich plasma and Trental injections. Three Plasmabiotech procedures are recommended at 1 week intervals, then 6 to 8 progressive mesotherapy Trental procedures. It is also recommended to perform a Plasmabiotech maintenance procedure once a month. Depending on the nosology, a 4 to 8 treatment schedule may be indicated at a range of 7 to 10 days. The first results of the procedure are observed 5 to 6 days after the first session.
